What it teaches
Knowing a word is not the same as being able to use it. These sentences put terms back into working order — the median is the middle value when the numbers are sorted — so the vocabulary arrives already attached to its grammar. It is also quiet practice at saying a finding out loud, which is the step most people find hardest once they have actually done the analysis.
