Derive the Data Jargon
How to play
- Study the rebus — the layout is the clue, not decoration.
- Say what you see out loud; these puzzles reward the ear.
- Type your guess.
- Solve the set to finish the round.
What it teaches
Data has a vocabulary problem: words like median, outlier, schema and aggregate sound forbidding long before they are difficult. Meeting them as puzzles rather than definitions removes the intimidation — a word you have solved is a word you own. By the end a player has handled a working data vocabulary without ever having sat through a glossary.
